Default Tucked Pillow...

A few years ago, I purchased some books by Jennie Rayment on fabric textures. I love the visual appeal of the techniques. I have decided to use some of these techniques to make pillows (cushions) for the living room. Hubby's been complaining about the lack of pillows in the living room and how the Kids snatch them to line the forts they build back in their room.

Here's the first pillow... It's a tucked pillow. A super-easy technique. And I love the visual texture.

(It's make with bleached muslin, finishes about 18 inches squares, quilted with Warm & White batting, and stuffed with a poly-fil)

I love her designs. We have a LQS here that one of the teachers got permission to modify some of her designs and teach her methods and we did a QAYG quilt. The one we did in class was done with southern bell creamy muslin with the same color thread and then I have some started at home done with the same muslin but done with different varigated threads. I've gotten so many compliments on them and it's amazing how easy they are. We also had a block that was cutwork which I learned how to do the old fashion way but my new Viking has the needles that will do all of the cutwork for me so I'm excited to try that. I picked up a couple of her books in WV when I was home. She also has a website incase anyone wants to see more of what she does; she lives in England I think. Great work.
