Hi!
I have decided that my days of making monstrous Queen sized quilts is done. I just can't wrangle them any more! So I purchased from Winner's a lovely ivory quilted bed cover with pillow shams and I am going to make a variety of bed toppers to go over it. I am thinking spring( hence the tulip one), summer, fall, Christmas and maybe winter.

Here's the tulip one. I am going to clean the kitchen floor tomorrow and get the spray basting done and quilt and bind it on the weekend.

My husband is in Alberta for two weeks attending his son's graduation from university and he gets home on Wednesday so I want to get it finished before then!

Very pretty, and very suggestive of spring, without being all frilly.
Good job!
Thank you for sharing!

Oh and I should have given credit to the designer of this quilt... Joen Wolfrom from her book, "A Garden party of Quilts."

What a great idea!! Is it quilted, or just the top?

what a great idea, mamagus! I have several I want to make, and hubby always pushes everything over to my side, and most of the time it falls on floor, becoming a hazard.
I think I might borrow your idea. I'll have to either find a nice ivory one, like yours, or make a wholecloth. I'd rather buy one, and work on the toppers! I love this idea, and yours is so pretty. :D
