Default Cubs Quilt for Daughter and Future Son-in-Law

This quilt was inspired by one done by hcarpanini at http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t125498.html . My daughter and son-in-law are getting married June 30. They are huge Chicago Cubs fans. I started with a Cubs t-shirt and had their names and wedding date embroidered on it. This is the first quilt I sent out for quilting. I just need to bind it, and it will be ready to give to them when they get married.

Impressive work! Your idea of the Cubs t-shirt with the embroidered names/date is very thoughtful and creative. They are going to love this quilt!

Are they bears fans too? I have some small squares that are Chicago bears, was going to make a quilt for my mom but she passed. I'd love them to go to a real fan! I'm from Chicago but now live in Miami!

What a creative idea. I'm sure they'll love it. I love the layout and the colors to go with the Tee. Thanks for sharing.

That is a super creative idea! And your Log Cabin blocks are just perfect! You should post this over on the RWB quilts thread -- they'd flip over it (just lie I'll bet your DD & SIL will)!

Great quilt!!! My son in law would love that!! His man cave is all Cubs stuff. I have been looking for cotton Cubs fabric for years but no one has the license for it.
