Default Another question about quilting

I shared this quilt a earlier and ask for ideas for quilting it. I am quilting it around the animals and stitch in the ditch around the blue squares. It was suggested that I do serpentine (S) shape lines. I understand what they are but not sure where I would put them on the quilt. Also how would a cross hatch look.

I have a serpentine stitch on my machine and use it quilt often instead of quilt in the ditch. I'm not sure if I would like cross hatching on this quilt.

I'm in the no to the cross hatching stitch.
Wondering how a zig-zag would look. If you stitched (think how rick rack looks) around each square... *take the square with the giraffe. Start your stitch in the far corner, then straight up to the blue block, then back to the edge again. Am I making sense? No matter how you choose to quilt it... it's really cute. And I'll bet will be used and cherished for a long time.

**Now that I go back and study the quilt a bit more.. that won't work! Sorry.

Crosshatching would be too many angles added to a quilt full of angles. I'd choose curves or circles instead. Let us know what you decide! I'd love to see a photo when it's finished.

Anytime I don't know what to do, I go to stippling. I love the speed, the curvy lines and the ability to choose how tight or small the stipples are. But the quilt is darling, I agree that almost anything curvy would work.

Thanks for the answers. I forgot to mention that I hand quilt.

I was just on Pinterest and I found this quilt that BeckySt did back in Feb of 2012. Do you think that how she quilted her quilt would look on my quilt?

What a cute quilt! But I think if you did cross hatch quilting on it, it would be too too much on this quilt. And with the wonky block layout it would make my eyes cross! LOL
