Several years ago, we started a friendship quilt for one of our co-workers who was due to retire. I passed out 6.5 x 6.5 inch squares and fabric markers. Some signed their names, some drew pictures of things that she liked.

By the time that everyone was done, I had enough to do two quilts for her. Both essentially the same, but I set the star blocks on point for one of them.

The red one started life as a "side" project during a Thimbleberries class and primarily used the scraps from the blocks that we made during class.

I'm excited about the new quilt - I've been collecting pink and coral batiks and am finally doing a quilt for me. It will end up being my TV quilt even though it doesn't match the living room, I'm doing something that I like.

The beginning of my newest project - all pinks and corals

I love the first two and I really love your quilt - such pretty colors! I know I'd enjoy snuggling under it.

    Great job!

Love them both especially the second one. The batiks are shaping up nicely. So what if it doesn't match? It's something you like. That's what's important.
