Default Bali Wedding Star - Test block

I started another quilt but was itching to make a quilt for my bed finally. I decided why not, even though it isn't like me to not finish something once I start.

I wanted to make a test block to make sure that the fabrics I chose where the right ones, because this process takes a lot of sewing before you ever get to a block and I didn't want to work so hard and find out that it doesn't look right. I'm glad I did because one of the fabrics just wasn't working. So I went yesterday to my LQS and chose a new fabric and now I'm really happy.

The colors are based off of two pictures in my bedroom.

Here is my test block. I imagine this will be my last block for months as the process is a long one.

Your colors are very pretty and very subtle. It should be a very elegant quilt.

Wow! That is just flat out amazing, not to mention gorgeous. You have started what is going to be a major work of art, don't forget to post a picture of the finished gem.
