Just an update. . . they're almost done. Most wonderful thing happened last week while I was HQing them. The Lord did a wonderful miracle for me to let me know how pleased He was with my decision to work on them next. These are for Haiti so there is no batting in the middle; just muslin so they won't be too hot for the babies! Just PM me if you want to know what He did. Lots of hearts were HQ in the center of one but they are too hard to see so I darkened the pic for you. They were fun to do and a pleasure to do for the babies.

Ahhh, how pretty! I know the parents will really appreciate this quilt made with love. I had a premie 3 lb 5 oz baby years ago but, no one did that for nurseries back then. My baby is now a grown over 6 foot tall man with two children of his own. I am thankful.

These are really very nice. I cannot han quilt because of my hand problems; but I do envy those who still do. Keep up the good work, Don't let hand quilting become a dying art.

Thank you McQuilter! HQ will never die around me! I did some meandering in the preemie quilts last night by hand. It relaxes me so and there's nothing else to compare with it. Will keep your hand in my prayers.

Beautiful - especially love your #2 quilt.

(Just had to respond - I'm a new member (though have been reading for a few months) and haven't even introduced myself properly yet! My two oldest boys were critically ill 29-weekers so I have a soft spot for preemies...)

We are so happy to hear from you!! Welcome to the QB and it's okay -- I think I was reading at the board for a little while before I joined! Your family photo avatar is so beautiful!! You would never know your two oldest had been through that by looking at how big they are now!! Thank you for loving my quilts! The medallions are so quick and easy which is why I chose to do them for the babies. You will love all that you learn and see here and we'll look forward to seeing your pics and posts! ...and we are so glad this is your first post!!
