A good fix. I love how we quilters can figure out how to make something work that at first seems like it won't work. Wonderful that you took the time to think on it and fix it best you could.

I'm so glad you posted this, Nan. Last night I took a border off that I know would have given me problems. I'm going to redo it.
I have enough problems just trying to FMQ !!

It is a lovely quilt, and you are doing all of us a favor to show what happens sometimes when we make a quilt. I have had some that I put a dart in to relieve a bubble - and it's all in the name of learning and increasing our experience. I think besides being proud of our finished products on this board, it's a great source of camaraderie and learning among friends.

Beautiful quilt and I see feathers in the large white spaces (which will help to ease in some of the excess). Please post again when you have it quilted. I bet it will become one of your favorites.
