Default Under the sea finished

Well...it's finished - the under the sea quilt for my DS and DDIL's first baby - ETA 3 weeks - we don't know if it's a boy or girl - so the suspense is killing me. Have already booked my ticket to go see them in May. This was a big challenge to myself - designed it and hand appliqued all. I don't FMQ so echo stitched around everything...and did a few squigglies in the "water". Thanks for looking.

You did a wonderful job on this quilt. You should be proud of yourself for stretching out and doing something new. Congratulations on the new baby.

Beautiful. any way we could entice you to post closeups of the other blocks as well? I loved seeing the closeup of the blue fish.

Well done! Love the use of the batiks and your applique is wonderful. How did you do the eyes?

Thanks for the nice words..here are the closeups. And the eyes are painted with craft paint - then heat sealed with an iron.
