Default UPDATE ~ wild black and white log cabin

i have the blocks halfway done what an accomplishment! me eyes are crossed! im amazed at how you can stare at it on the wall and not really see it and take a picture and BLAM there she is. i took your advice on the placement of the black strips; what do you think? does it look well enough to sew the blocks together? so far im really pleased; this quilt top is 'freeing'? its not so constrained and im really enjoying it i keep eyeballing my stash for when i get this one finished for its owner!
thank you all for the help and the advice. it was VERY much appreciated! keep it coming!

Looks great! Love black and white with that little bit of red. If you are sure that's the pattern you want, I don't see any reason not to sew your rows together. My problem with log cabins is that there are so many designs you can come up with; I can never decide! This one will be super!

Oh, my double vision is quadrupled! LOL - seriously, it's beautiful, and, as you say, freeing - and quilting is at least partly about freeing the imagination. Great work. So, yes, it is ready to start sewing the blocks together.

I love black, white, and a pop of red in quilts.

It's gorgeous! It looks like a nice layout to me. I know how eager we are to see it all together. So go ahead and sew.

That is coming together very well. I like how you placed the solid black strip. Looking forward to seeing the end result.
