Default Valentine Candy

I always cut up my leftover fabrics into 2.5" (candy) squares, and I like to think up ways to use them.

It has been fun participating in some "candy" swaps to get thousands of different fabrics. The current swap is in this thread: Birthday swap 2017/2018....... Sign Up. I didn't join this year, but hope to next year if they have it.

SheriR taught us how to make little dresden blocks from "candy" squares in last year's swap. I used them in the top and bottom of this quilt to make it longer. Thank you SheriR! Edit by moderator: SheriR's tut is here: Candy Dresden Wall Hanging/Mug Rug

Since the main blocks are heart shapes, I thought it was appropriate to name the quilt "Valentine Candy."

This is just gorgeous. I am in another swap now but would love to join this next year if it's held.

Beautiful! Almost makes me want to go start cutting all my stash into candy squares .... almost! You have a real work of art there and love the name, too!
