I cut the window out of the patterned paper, sewed the block in around the window and then cut a piece of card stock the same size as the patterned paper and glued the two together. The card stock hides the back of the block and makes the card stand up nicely.

Very nice!! Did you know you can order cards made specially for quilted blocks, from Carol Doak's website? She also has a mini heart block to use. And...check out her yahoo site. Lots of freebies if you join.

Years ago I copied some patterns from a library book - sorry, but I didn't write down the name of the book. The patterns were for 4 inch blocks but I reduced them 46% on my copier/printer and they came out 2 1/2 inches - tiny!

Please do u have a tutorial for this i wanna make one for my husband who works in Indiana (I live in So Cal)to support our family and i need to make something really special for him.

Those are beautiful! I love paper piecing too and this is a great idea for small blocks.
