I've always wanted to make a black and white quilt. I found a pattern that I liked but thought it needed something more, so I added red. This quilt (with the exception of the backing) was made entirely from scraps. My daughter loved it and it was a nice surprise when she came home from college for the weekend. The crotched afghan I made for my son I've been working on for over a year. He would see me working on it but never once asked me who it was for. Finally the night before I finished it I was weaving in the last few rows when he asked me who it was for. I said "I don't know yet". Was he ever surprised when he said good night the next night and saw it layed out on his bed!

It appears you have made two people very happy. The quilt is such a fun young-person looking quilt, I think. Just right for your daughter, and I love the afghan you made for your son. The plaid is terrific. Great job for your two loved ones.

That is lovely. I recently made a quilt that I'm not thrilled with for my 13 year old grand daughter. Saving it for Christmas, but I'm really thinking about doing another and giving them both to her. I think she would love this one!

I love the black, white and red quilt. Cute pattern and I love that color combo. The afghan is so pretty. I'm showing that one to my sis. She crochets a lot. Your kids are so lucky. Great gifts for them. I love the way your DD was is done. Cool. Great job and thanks for sharing.
