Victorian Sewing Circle Photo: Must See

Here is an antique photo of a Victorian quilt group (guild?). I would like to think so. I think the clothes date it to about right at 1900. In 1890's, the shoulder sleeves were much puffier. The one thing that intrigues me is the applique design on the table. I have never seen anything like it. Enjoy.

That is a neat picture. They often had "domestic science clubs" too. Thanks for sharing.

My how prim and proper these ladies were. If they could see us today in our attire when we are quilting I wonder what they would think.

Ladies didn't smile in pictures, usually. Wouldn't want to mess with one of those ladies!

OhMyGosh... those collars look so uncomfortable... and I bet they are all wearing girdles too! I'm so glad that ladies styles have changed and that spandex is so available these days.

When it seems like the world is falling to pieces remember that the pieces are falling into place. We are nearing closer to the End Times.
