Jenni, those are gorgeous!! You got such a great deal on them!
Love your ideas about finishing them.
The best product I have ever used on vintage/antique fabrics is Retroclean.

I think the website is retroclean.com but she is also on ebay.
I've used that stuff on a lot of things with great results!

Your plan to back with muslin and bind in a solid color keeps your quilts to their traditonal looks. Great ideas and lovely tops.

If only they could talk. I would love to know who made them and why and what was going on in the family or area they lived. Like you pointed out, the work in the stained one is so intricate. Good find for you. If I had seen them I would have purchased them too. Now they will be loved and appreciated. That's reassuring.
