That is not an easy quilt to do. It is a gorgeous design. The fabrics are wonderful.

The niece needs a lesson in manners.

Any chance of hinting to the Mother that you think her daughter didn't like it since you never got a thank you.

That is a beautiful quilt and clearly you did A LOT of work and time in to it. I agree that the younger generation does not say thank you when they should as well..... however I would be bold enough to get back with the bride or her mother and find out ...if it is not something that fits into her "decor" then you would gladly take it back and get her a gift card. That way you can at least find out if she is going to keep it or give it away.
Just my thoughts.

oh gosh and that was a big one too! I would question her if she ever got it due to all the time and money you spent on it......

Anymore when I make a quilt for others I just don't even expect a thank you...I enjoy the process. If I do get one it is a huge bonus! Sometimes we set our stage expecting things to happen when they don't we get upset. Now I try not to set my stage and when something nice happens like a thank you it means twice as much!

a lot of people that don't sew don't have a clue about how much time and work go into making anything.

I'm with Rose...I would call the girl herself and ask her if she received it or not and say that if she didn't like it I would gladly take it back and give her a gift card. It would also be the last quilt she got from me.
