That is such a stunning quilt! I guess we can only try to be good examples of showing gratitude. Few kids are taught that it's so important. You may tell her that if she doesn't wish to keep it, there are thousands of others who would LOVE it - like me!

Yes, I agree with you, sometimes life does get in the way, but what can you do. The quilt is Beautiful!! I'm sure she loves it, and probably thinks about you when she see's it.

OM Gosh! That is so beautiful - and it would be perfect for my redone sewing/guest rm. I just love the ribbon feel of it
I finally gave up giving relatives gifts. Its not that I want to be profusely thanked, but I have to mail everything and I would just like a note/call/email that the package arrived!
Its suprising that people with whom I've made friends are nicer about handmade gifts than family - my friends seem to appreciate what I do and my family only see "home" made, not hand crafted personally for them. sharet

Sorry for your disappointment. The quilt is lovely and it looks as if you put lots of love into it. I always ask before giving someone a quilt, and that way I know if they really want one. Then it is received with the love like I put into it. Bless you, my dear.

that ribbon is kinda tricky to do. My Mom made that ribbon as an inner border on my DS and DIL's quilt. You did a beautiful job!

I guess we need to be discriminating as to who we give homemade gifts to as many young folks just do not appreciate the labor of love.
