Default This weekends project and a couple finishes

Working on a new scrappie this weekend for National Quilt Day and Virtual Day tomorrow. First two pics are of progress up to now, two rows ready to go together. Last week I made about 150 string blocks, so it is time to put them to use.
And still no dent in the scrap bucket.

The third pic is a wall hanging I made using the pattern My Whimsical Quilt Garden by Becky Goldsmith and Linda Jenkins.

The last pic is a wallhanging my mom just made for me. She did all the blanket stitch around the applique by hand. Mom loves to sew and she is so not picky about seams and such, if it lines up great, if it's close that's ok too. I so envy her that ability - I spend so much time stressing about things lining up, she is just off merrily on her way.

Wow...... they are all wonderful 'happy' quilts. I have the 'whimsical garden' pattern... one of my bucket list items. Thanks for sharing.
