I did one for GD the other day and it looks a lot better than the attempt I made a few months ago. Now I am feeling more confident making these and will make one for my other granddaughter for her dolls.
I do still have to do improvements on making these such as stitching a straight line when making the X. Did not take the time to undo the lines I messed up even though I did restitch it knowing that it was just a doll quilt that GD will toss around anyway. :-)

I've always wanted to make a rag quilt. I just picked up some pink and white flannels for a new baby girl! They look like it would be a fun quilt to make and easy! I'm sure your little GD will love using the doll quilt to keep her babies warm!

It looks great. Love the fabric
We learn by doing. Every quilt, our skill improves. And it is amazing how when someone else makes the very same mistake we have, theirs looks perfect and ours looks bad. You are being too hard on yourself.
I bet your Granddaughter will love her doll, blanket, use it and have to have it washed often. She won't care if a line of quilting is slightly not perfect.
