They are great! She'll be thrilled. Please tell the source of that purse pattern. It's just what I've been looking for. Someone mentioned Studio Kat, but the two similar ones on that site are not quite it.

Thanks for all of the compliments. She is a really special girl and we ALL love her.

The pattern that I used is a current Butterick pattern number 5658. I did change a few things - especially the way I put it together to make things a little easier. The wallet has no pattern. I used my personal wallet as a guide and played it by ear.

Those are great. I really like the purse design.
People who start projects and never finish them are cooler
than people who never start projects at all.

After a few pointed questions to her mom, found this purse pattern that I thought she would like. So here are the pictures before I pack it up to send to her tomorrow. The wallet is just figured off the top of my head. I hope she likes them.

    Thanks for looking.
She would be NUTS, to not fall in LOVE with this. You did a Wonderful job, the colors and prints are great. If she doesn't like it for some unknown reason, I can change my name to something that starts with a "B" - lol. Very nice thank you for sharing.

What a great mother in law to be (perhaps) you are! Beautiful purse and wallet! Excellent workmanship, too! She will love it! And you for surprising her with it!

jRH = You can be sure that God will not give you more than you can handle. I have spent the last four years, I have given hospice care to 5 different people, including the man I loved forever. It was hard, but now I can see that each trial made me stronger for the next. Pray every day, find something to be happy about, and when you get up in the morning say outloud "Today I choose to be happier" It really does help.

    God Bless
