This is a pattern called a "Potato Chip Bag" - because it is hard to make just one. In the middle of the project I said "never again"! Then, when it was finished I said "MORE!".

This fabric is a camping pattern that I got at the LQS. The straps fabric is roasting marshmallows.

I made this for a friend that has just started camping. Inside is a box of instant coffee - she is a tent camper and misses coffee when she camps.

The strap design on the side with the heart buttons came from a mistake - the straps were WAY too long, so I had to come up with a way to shorten them. I like it so much I may do the same mistakes on my next bags. Also, did not put on front pocket because I cut the fabric wrong and didn't have enough of the print - but, there is a pocket on the back and two inside.

(I'm only confessing my mistakes to you - won't tell bag recipient. Shhhhhhh!)

Not a mistake, an excellent design possiblility. The buttons add such whimsey tot eh purse. And they impossible to make just one. There are so many fabrics that are perfect for our families and friends.
