Carol, you are so right. Nothing in life is more satisfying than the creative process. I can't wait to share the next one, and the next,...

Thanks Florafab. I want to experiment with FMQ, but my heart will always be in hand-quilting. There is no better therapy in the world.

Plus 16 comforters and 10 biscuit quilts.
Thanks Phyllis. Wow, 108, that is impressive. So you have felt this kind of satisfaction often. You must be addicted. :-) That is so cool. I'm in awe.

What is a biscuit quilt?

I thank you jillnjo; she thanks you. BTW, I love that Iris under your name. It is really strikingly lovely. I've never seen one like it.

Thanks Lori. I had a different name in mind, but this one just seemed to fit. It is hand-quilted. I love machine quilting but as long as my hands still work, hand-quilting is it for me. I just love hand-quilting, on my lap, in a hoop, on the couch, while watching TV. It is akin to peace on earth.

I like the variety of fabrics in your yellow quilt. I'm collecting yellow fabrics to make one of my own-pattern
still in thought stage.

Hey quiltlady--thanks for the kind words. You're right though--there really is something about that first washing. It was scary though. I bought the polka dot fabric from Walmart and it was obviously not as nice as some of the other fabric. (I couldn't resist it though.) I feared the dots would fade or the colors run. I was very lucky. I used a color-catcher, and it came out clean.

LOL! That would be interesting, given that I'm definitely a cat person. hehe! For the record, I've had dogs all my life too.

Thanks--I found that it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. They are out there though, so just be patient. Now that I'm finished, I'm sure I will find lots more yellows than I know what to do with. Ya know what is really hard--try to find yellow bath towels, yellow sheets, or yellow throw rugs. I am starting to think yellow has been banished from shelves or something.
