sewing fun with my DGD

My 8 yr. old DGD was here this past week and we had a lot of fun sewing. She was timid with the sewing machine at first, but soon became more comfortable with it. Thank goodness for adjustable speed machines!!

In the last photo next to her is the new sewing kit I got her. It opens into 4 sections. She got it all stocked up while she was here, too!
We also made friendship bracelets for her friends at home, and the ring on her finger. It's a piece of fleece scrap, cut thin, then tied with a small knot trimmed to tapered ends and a sparkly button sewn to the center of the knot.
:D She is quite creative.

She kept me busy for sure. I'm happy to have my sewing machine back so I can get back to work on my Beautiful Bird quilt!!
