I posted the start of this quilt with the batiks and received an overwhelming amount of compliments. I am now posting the picture with the center done. I am at a stand still currently with the inner board color. I was thinking, dreaming last night about it, a burgundy marble maybe and inch or inch and a half and then put the outer border with the burgundy as the binding. What do you think?

Awesome! I think the burgundy would look great!
I also dream about quilting, my kids think that I am nuts!

very nice! they told me the dresden was a beginner block but it gave me fits. I have had so much trouble that I put it away and moved on. I will try again someday. I always ended up with a tiny teeny hole where the middle circle goes . . . sigh

Unfortunately, I don't have any insights on the boarder, but I love your quilt top and can't WAIT to see it quilted!
