This is a WIP and my first Disappearing 9 patch ever. I am hoping I did it correctly. I am new to piecing but not new to quilting, my forte` is applique. I think I should have searched for a darker fabric for more contrast??
I had such a difficult time trying to find anything that would go with the 2 shamrock prints, they are such unusual shades of green, 3 quilt shops, 1 Joann Fabrics store and finally WalMart had a green that matched for the sashings.
I would have had this finished but a very nasty stomach virus hit and laid me flat on my back.. so disappointed that I didn't finish it in time but.. that's life!! :( I am doing better today but not running any marathons just yet.
The matching wallhanging was done a few yrs ago. I had enough fabric left over to create the table runner. I plan to tear it apart and add heavier batting. Then do some quilting on it.
Thank you for any thoughts on my D9P. :-D

It's beautiful! Both pieces. Did you mean to say disappearing 4 patch? I think that is what you have and it is pretty. I especially like the darker green block.:)

Looks great from here - not to worry about contrast. I think once you put the borders on you feel differently. Be sure to post.

Like your wall hanging too. Tell that devilish leprechaun to toss some coins my way.
