I am a new quilter and was attempting this quilt for my husband and I. It is from Fon's and Porter July/August 2010 magazine.

I messed up on the borders, but I need some ideas on how to quilt it.

Whole quilt - being sandwiched

Beautiful quilt!!!

The quilting part is my weak point. I'm not sure how I would quilt it if it were my own.

I love this quilt and the pattern. I get Fons and Porter magazine and I do not remember seeing it. Sometimes when a quilt is made out of materials/colors that are "out of the box" for me, I don't notice it like I do when a quilt is made in materials/colors that I like. I typically am not a fan of scrappy quilts but I really like this one. Now I will have to dig through my stacks of magazine to find that one so I can make one.

Just say that you wanted it like that- who will know- it is beautiful. Sorry I have not done that much FMQ.

Stippling would not take away from the beautiful pattern.
Or you let the pattern be your guide if you are quilting by hand. Quilt 1/4 inch in around the pattern. Very pretty!

In the close up - you can just see the celtic knot I was thinking about in the darker Blue triangles.

Is stippling done on the machine or by hand? Stupid question I know - but it just proves how much a rookie I am.
