For those of you who forgot, I am making a silk quilt for my DDIL, part of the fabric being leftover from her wedding gown. I didn't have enough of the planned backing so had to order new. My choices were nearly nil, except for this. Now it is not necessarily my favorite but it sure goes with the silk and I know she will love it. She has very eclectic taste. Let me know what you think.

Yah, can you believe it! I googled everything and everywhere and came up with nothing (that I could afford). Then I remembered my favorite fabric store in Sinking Spring, PA that I used to shop for apparel fabric at; checked their website and lo and behold this was on sale. Still wasn't exactly cheap but for this quilt that wasn't the object. Now I have to clean up the other WIP so I can get back to this. Just have to decide what color for a border around the silk and then decide how to finish the edges, binding? or what. I won't be doing SID through that velvet. I guess hand tied. Anybody know of silk embroidery floss?
