You sure were! I've made a few myself this past year. I also use them for my ice cream bowl, as I can't hold cold things.

What would you use if you want to hold something hot on my lap , such as a bowl of soup ?

Impressive output. I bet you're itching to get your sewing machine back home.

Nice work … I should make some for my DD. Would make a nice Christmas gift, and I don't think she has any.

You sure were on a roll! They look great. How many more do you need to make? How long will your machine be out of commission?

Nice job Sewingsuz. I have that same pattern and am going to make a couple for Secret Santa gifts at our guild.
What kind of batting to you use as I don't want it to catch fire in the microwave?
Thank you,
Donna

Hot food is what these were originally made for. If you want to re-heat something in the microwave, you put your bowl into one of these microwaveable bowls, heat for 1-2 minutes (no more at a time) and when you take it out, you won't burn your fingers on a hot bowl, you basically have a built-in hot pad to hold it with. . That's why the ladies are saying it also works great for a bowl of ice cream.
