Here is my next project a quilt for my granddaughter... small charms 4 inch ..and lots of fun pictures. I am also looking for more charms if anyone wants to trade something for them.

I sewed the charms in a row on a flagpole...then sewd the other side then trimmed and did the same for the other two sides..that made it go quick

I wanted the charms to stand out and with so many colors not looks too busy.. the black on gray seemed to do it. The sashing being blue helped.. not sure what I will do on the border.

How adorable. The borders around the pieces make it striking and so visual for her.

I love it. I've always been fond of children's quilts that have lots of "interesting" pictures in them. You can spin a story by pointing to them. So for the really little kids, you can teach them vocabulary and have fun. (I did this when my kids were small.)

Let's see... for your quilt... it could start like this

"The gorilla and his friend the giraffe went to the bank to get some money, so that they could go to their favorite restaurant for breakfast. They ordered bacon and eggs." ...

I have about 10 different 5" squares, pre-washed, cotton, that I could send you if you are still wanting some for another charm quilt. You can cut them down. LMK. No trade necessary - you can have them if you want them. PM me if interested.
