How very fun! You are ahead of the game when they like it before it is even finished piecing the top! That is one lucky boy.

I have not been a huge fan of D9P but this one has changed my mind, I love it too. The colors are fabulous and I have a ton of 5" squares also. You did a great job and I guess I need to make one too. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad to hear that. My friend had told me she got bored doing hers so I was worried. But, maybe she had to cut all of her charms, I didn't. Only my dark batik that was the center of my 9 patch. I'd been saving charms for a long time for a Buckeye Beauty... but I had plenty. So I repurposed enough for this. Although, now I decided to make it bigger, and ordered a charm pack today.

I think the secret to it being so fast and liking it is having the charms all cut long in advance. LOL Thank you for your lovely compliment.

WOW, I never thought about using my charms for a D9P. I have tons of them sitting, cause I really don't know what to do with them. I am excited about finding a use for them now.

Thanks for sharing. I've spent the last few weeks organizing my scraps and now have a huge stack of 5" squares. Seeing your DP9 scrappy is inspiring and encouraging after all that cutting.
