Default Working my disappearing 9 Patch!

I was nervous to start this, 1. Because my son requested all bright colors, and 2. A friend said she had done one and got bored with it. Well, I started this 24 hours ago, and I just finished laying my cut blocks out and am ready to start sewing them into rows or large blocks.

I'm excited too. My son came in and saw it and says he loves it, it's exactly what he wanted. He is turning 21 this year and he got my first quilt I ever made. A scrappy log cabin. He was 3.

I think it's been easy due to my already having tons of 5 inch charms I had collected the past 10 years. So, I just started making the nine patches, zip, zip, zip. It will be a full size when it's done with borders and all. Thanks for looking. I'm so excited!

You've done a great job. So glad you're enjoying yourself and it's just what you son wanted. I like all the bright colors and the scappiness. (Is that even a word - scrappiness?)

To me it looks like a 'happy' quilt. Bright and cheerful. Love it.
