Wonderful job. That's a special talent to take a photo and then interpret it with fabric like you did.

Great job. Your rendering is absolutely spot on! It sounds like they did the same thing with this piece as they do with crewel work. I love your cow. Thanks for sharing.

Jenniky .. Why the cow? I was born and raised and stayed as a dairy farmer til life changed. Honestly, my ♥ is still there! What inspired me? It kind of came as a dare or challenge from someone else! I wasn't about to be proven that I could not do it! As for what do I do? ... someday I'd like to find the answer to that myself. In short, I'll do most anything that's legal and someone will pay me $$ !!! After all, you know variety IS the spice of life .... and I like lots of spice in my life. You're going to have quite a gallery of people in this masterpiece! Great sketch again and quite the
hot babe"!!! Hope you posted it onto the other thread.

MCB
... I'm not sure if you're asking me? IF so, it's hanging in my family room along with the original photo. She's also done the show circuit and picked up a red ribbon (first place) at each of the four shows she's been to!

Or IF you're asking about Jenniky and Celia ... it's in regards to this Challenge ...

An interesting fact for you ... some Canadian neighbours left here with their Holsteins several years ago, and resettled in your area!

Thanks for the compliments. Although I'm not sure what you mean in regards to the crewel work?

Thank you! It certainly was a labour of love ... and with all honesty, in all the things I've done, it's probably the one I'm most proud, because of the detail achieved in replicating the photo.

Everyone! ... Thanks so much for looking at Miss Mazel and appreciating her. While a cow is not for everyone, I hope it inspires others to perhaps replicate photos of other subjects. I proved ... it CAN be done!

Wow. I learned something new today. Did not know something like that could be done. It turned out great!!! Looks like the bovine is more important than the homo sapien, huh? lol.

Lovin it here on my cattle farm!!! Very nice - I could not make one as nice as yours as our cows are solid black - registered Angus. We do have oil paintings of some of our "famous" bulls - LOL

Those black angus just need some white spots on them!
Oh go for it ... you might be surprised what you could turn out. While solid black ... I'm thinking you could get some definition in there with your quilting ... just like a "blow job" for the show ring!
We never had any oils, though lots of professional photos of our own cattle.

Well, those bovines do produce Nature's most nearly perfect food for we humans!
