I am teaching myself to quilt. Here is my first block! My dear MIL sent me her featherweight for my effort. I am excited that it is turning out at all!

You did a great job! I really like those colors, especially polka-dots.

Keep up the great work. Love the colors. Hang onto and take care of that Featherweight. There are quilters out there that would almost give up their first born for one. Okay maybe not their first born child but their first born stash. LOL! I bought my highschool English/French teacher's when she went into a nursing home and it wasn't cheap. Those are really a treasure, just keep it cleaned and oiled and it will last for a long, long time.
I'm looking forward to seeing this block in your first quilt!

Thank you all for your support! I will post the finished quilt....someday! I am thinking of a solid brown border around each square. If I do the border I can make a twin blankie instead of a baby sized blanket.

Aaahh, another quilter is born. You do know that this is an addiction, but one that will bring you many rewards. You are doing great!
