Yes...in Pahrump. The big brown RV garage 'yard sale' that is off of Homestead. Most weekends he has white signs with red letter 'sandwich boards' placed along Homestead.

The damage isn't bad, just looks like some clusters of pin holes. There a few in the pieced blocks, but nothing that interferes with the integrity of the block.

I think I would be tempted to remove the original border so the finished product would last. It is lovely. What a find. And for only $2 Wow.

I wouldn't do anything to it. Its so brittle it might just ruin it. If you finish it ,, it will no longer be an antique? It will have a labbel and would make it finished as of Oct 2011..

Beautiful find. I agree with others - replace the border. I'm sure that will be a whole lot easier than trying to patch, piece and repair the damage. Enjoy!
