I also will never understand why people give or sell beautiful handmade things. I am very sentimental and have saved many things like a shirt and pair of pants my mom gave my son when he was about 3 yrs old and I saved a couple of her aprons and some towels she crocheted edging on. I guess that's why my house has so much clutter.

Your quilt is just beautiful, happy that you rescued it.

What a wonderful find!! Not all of us are blessed with the ability to love and appreciate quilts. I think that quilt was lucky to find you.

Shame on that lady that sold that beautiful quilt. This quilt is priceless. I would never give or sell something my grandmother or mother had made like that. Maybe that is why my house is busting at the sems.

How wonderful you were going by. Maybe she has no family members to hand it down too or they just don't want a wonderful treasure. I am sure you will provide a loving home for it.

So nice you found it and gave it a home. Some people don't think anything of getting rid of family items. I don't get rid of them.
