I would say your ability to get the sandwich taught enough on a bed for pinning would have a big impact on puckering, also not using a walking foot because a regular foot does not feed the top fabric at the same rate as the bottom. Other than that your second quilt looks good. We learn as we go. I have also learned that recipients rarely see our mistakes. We critique ourselves way to hard sometimes

You might want to take a class on actually quilting a quilt, They really teach you how to baste your quilt and how to use you walking and darning foot. I am more of a visual learner so it helped me a lot

I think it is a wonderful quilt. I have found hand quilting allows me to fudge a lot so even tho it is time consuming, I continue to hand quilt most of my quilts . Luckily I love the process!

Good fabric choices, well sewn.
On basting spray, if you have any breathing problems, avoid it. I used it once, out of doors, with the wind going away from me and still had a major asthma attack.
Am I seeing binding finished before the quilting? that is generally not recommended.

I think you did a wondeful job. Especially love your color combination. Lots of pinning (and starching fabrics as you piece) have helped me.

Your quilt did turn out beautiful. One thing I noticed is that you asked if you can use your walking foot for FMQ. YOu will need a different food for FMQ (darning foot, FMQ foot, etc. usually same/similar with different names)

One of my favorite patters; have done several. I love your colors and especially love that beige border you chose. I think you will love the 505 spray; helps tremendously. Good luck on your quilting and thanks for sharing.
