I started this on friday and have the star part done..now to do the borders. This is a commission quilt for my friends..they wanted yellow and black.. all i could think of was BUMBLEBEE :(.. I used a couple black background fabrics but also a black/brown . I really wasn't sure about the brighter yellows...but knew they wanted bright yellow. I am thinking it is coming out pretty well. I KNOw they will love it I sent them some fabric swatches in the mail and have only used three of those.. so it will be a surprise when it is done. They gave me free rein ..to add whatever. I have a nice black fabric that will be a framer that will make it all pop i hope.

That looks awesome. I'm so glad you posted it. My avatar is a variation of that same layout in the size of a baby quilt. I'm wanting to do one a little bigger for grandson's bigboy bed, but I wasn't sure how it might look. Now I know!

I love it, and I'm not even a yellow person! It almost makes me want to make one. And I can't wait to see it with the black border.
