How wonderful of you to do this for the girls. Not only are you starting them on something they can carry with then through their life but you are teaching them to love and be generous to others. They will remember you with love forever. The quilt is beautiful.

Oh my they created something wonderful. Such a clever idea to have them make their own. No matter what they do with the skills you have taught them; the confidence, opportunity to create, and joy of succeess is something that will enhance their lives.

Having lost my mother 50 years ago this month, I can say with authority that those women who took time to teach me how to shop for groceries and clothes, cook and bake, knit and sew were lifesavers. I was made welcome in their lives where they modeled love, faith and generosity with their time and talents. I commend you! Your foresight has and will continue to add greatly to how they see themselves and the world!

What a great thing you're doing to help these girls heal and at the same time develop a love of using fabrics. They are adorable girls.

Little did those boxes of fabric squares know that they and you would have a big impact on the lives of 2 girls. Bless you for caring for them and teaching them to sew their own quilts. I know those quilts will be with them wherever they go. Hopefully they will make some charity quilts with you, it would be such a wonderful ending to the story.
