I love the applique border, it really adds to the quilt and makes it great.

Thank you all SO much!

You continue to pat me on the back with encouragement & that means a lot to me. I have renewed hope for this quilt!

I intend to quilt feathered wreaths in the larger squares that come between the points of the stars, probably a cross hatch elsewhere. I like heavy hand quilting! I just piece so I will have something to quilt. :mrgreen:

Your feathered star is gorgeous and I think the applique border takes away from the stars. Maybe if you framed it with a solid or solid-like border and let the top stand on its own. Love it!!!

It's beautiful. I would keep the applique since it is a 'trademark' of your quilts.

It sure doesn't NEED the applique, but it sure is pretty with it. The curves give some relief fron all the sharp corners. One of these days, when I grow up, I too will try the feathered star, and you will be my inspiration!
