Default Zippered Boxy Bag--My Quilt Guild Challenge Done!

This month my modern quilt guild had a challenge to make a small zippered boxy bag. We drew sealed envelopes with two paint chips and another drawing had colored zippers--we had no control on what we got. My paint chips of pastel pink and gold were NOT my favorite colors, and the coral pink zipper I drew really turned me off. But I did find a stripe fabric and a gold floral in my stash that seemed to match the chips pretty well, so here it is. It actually came out better than I thought it would. If you want to make the bag, the free tutorial is at http://kelbysews.blogspot.com, and it is called the boxy bag tutorial.

That is so pretty, bright and colorful. Well done. I should make one for my husband with a plastic liner.

Love it, and thanks for sharing the tutorial also. Not sure if I will ever be brave enough to make it, but always good to have a tutorial if I do decide to really challenge myself. LOL
