I seriously doubt that anyone would pay such a high price for this! Gimme a break! :D
Also some people get the idea that b/c it's in demand people will stop at nothing. Too many FW's out there though.
Dreamers!!!!!!!!!

Most of the rest of them on ebay are going in the $200 - $300 range it looks like.

From the price I'll guess that it will join his "collection". Way too rich for my blood.

perhaps because they have the carrying case and it looks to be excellent condition. all the attachments. the instruction/maintenance book looks in excellent condition also. i have one [my late grmothers] and it has been well used. considered in excellent condition tho a few issues w/the japan black finish. and the case is worn. cord replaced. and it has been valued at over 700$us....and the one in this ad looks brand new compared to mine [i also have all the attachments and the book - but the dealer doing the assesment didn't know that]

I noticed that too! Rare, but not made for this machine!

Because many are looking for them now- so everyone thinks they are sitting on a gold mine when they have one - not to say that they are not worth a bit of money but some people seem to take it to an extreme JMHO
