Greetings. I am a newby quilter, but, have been enjoying reading the board for awhile. Finally, decided to get on board and introduce myself. First off, I'm a guy, so I hope that's OK. I haven't seen many fellows posting here, but, I'm sure there's a few around. I do Civil War re-enacting and carried a quilt made by my Grandmother on the back of my saddle until I realized that it was taking too much of a beating, and I didn't want to see it damaged. So, being a shop teacher, I'm pretty good with my hands and decided that I could probably make my own. I now have completed 13 Civil War Soldiers Cot Quilts. Most I've given away, but still have a couple hanging around. Any way, Hi, there from the Rocky Mountains.......

Welcome! You will probably be surprised at the number of men on this board... There is a thread somewhere about all the men quilters showing off some of their quilts. They are amazing! Glad you're here and hope you enjoy yourself.
