Since I sew at my dining room table, it's only appropriate that I store my stash in the china cabinet, right?

LOL, why not? The fabric is prettier than most dinnerware.

I have a sister who does this! Not a bad idea. I used to sew on the dining room table too, until I got tired of having to move the sewing machine to eat dinner or have the kids do their homework. Great storage and looks neat!

Ha! Love it! So where is the china stored?

Great idea.

I have a sewing room, but I've thought of displaying quilts in my china cabinet. I know I'd enjoy them in there more than the china, etc. that's currently stored there. Actually, I have a friend who did that and it looks really nice.

Very clever idea!

I would add some kind of quilting decoration,
inside, maybe a clear jar of buttons...

Great idea and dust free too. I also sew in my dining room, living room and wherever else I happen to be. My second bedroom has become storage for all of my supplies and an extra cutting table.

We are redoing our kitchen this spring. I called dibbs on the island and cabinets- to go in the basement for my sewing room. Hubby rolled his eyes and said "whatever".

I'm also going to take the china closet and 2 bookcases and cabinet. I can't wait to "take over" and have a real sewing room.
