Does anyone use the little binding clips that kind of look like hair barrettes? You use them to hold your binding in place while you blind stitch.

I have some, but I have never used them.

I use them and like them but I don't think they're necessary. I have them so might as well use.
|
Yes, I use them with every binding. It's easier on my hands if I don't have to pinch it together myself. I've had mine for many years. I'm sure I've gotten my money's worth many times over.

Never tried them

I bought the actual hair clips from the dollar store and used them when binding all the mug rugs I made for xmas gifts. best idea ever - no pins pricking me and easy to remove. use them - you'll like them.

I used some binder clips last time instead of so many pins that always end up sticking me. Maybe that is why they are called binder clips? :):):)
|
I most definitely use them, a lot of them. especially when I'm going to hand stitch my binding down. if i want to machine stitch it, i tend to use straight pins, a lot of them.
|
I use the hair clips all the time for holding my binding while I hand sew - really hate getting pin pricks.
|
I use them when I'm free motion quilting also...just a little extra area held in place till I'm ready to do that section.
