I'm going tomorrow to look at a used Janome 9000 and was wondering if there is anyone on the board who owns one. New machines are so expensive.
Would like to hear if you like yours, issues or concerns. Thanks for your time. |
I love my MC9000 it's my go to machine of choice. I have 2 other embrodiery machines but like this one the best. No putting the embrodiery attachment on it's built in. I think you'll enjoy it.

i love my Janome 9000. I will not up-grade to the 10000.
i did has the 8000 and up grade to the 9000 years ago. Never had any regrets with buying the 9000. it is a very heavy machine. Last week i brought a used Jamone GEm Gold [weights 12 pounds] for traveling to my son's house or if I want to go to a class. The 9000 has many nice features. Good luck with your new toy. |
Love my 9000 for general sewing/quilting. It can't be upgraded to do more than it does now. The embroidery area is only 4x4 I believe. And the embroidery quality is not as good as the more modern machines. My dealer no longer has the embroidery cards Since the new machines require a different format. I am also told that if the screen or board goes out there are no longer replacement parts. I would ask these questions when you look. I really like the machine and it has never given me any problems. And I do hope that she lives forever.

Thanks for your input. So hard to decide - there are so many machines out there and so expensive. Hard to decide. It does scare me that if the screen or board goes out there are no longer replacement parts. I'd like a new machine, but not sure the budget does !!!

I had a MC8000 , the light went out and it was going to cost $300 to have it fixed. Harfd to know what yoiu are doing without that screen! I optd to buy the new Janome9700. If you think about getting the one you are looing at, if that screen looks dark, beware!!

I've owned my 9000 for 13 years. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. How much are they asking for it?

I had one and loved it. I gave it to a friend in the military who loved it too. He said it was the best machine he ever used for sewing the patches on his uniforms. He asked me a couple of times if he could buy it. He had just returned from his 3rd Middle East deployment and wanted to borrow it again, so I gave it to him. He, of course, wasn't a bit interested in the embroidery and didn't want the cards, so if you are interested in the embroidery cards PM me and we can chat.

Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it.
