I am responding to those who would like to use less fabric so this is what I have come up with.

You can download the paper templates and follow the directions to make a 2 1/2" Star Point Block. This size will make a 12 1/2" quilt block if you are using 6 rows with 6 blocks in each row.

I will add the paper templates for the 1 1/2" size later.

So here is the downloadable file. You can print off as many as you like and or reuse the paper templates as much as you need.
