Some of these are easy enough for paper piecing unfriendly folks like me.

no need to

you are not alone. for some paper piecing patterns, the results are no doubt worth the struggle in the end. BUT it isn't easy to work upside down and backwards. especially when my brain is already upside down and inside out. i usually end up with almost as many blocks in the trash as i do in a quilt.

I was looking at the link and have a question. I have never tried paper piecing, but am thinking about experimenting a little tonight when I get home.

I noticed in a couple of the patterns that the have curved lines. How does that work??

Moonpi 10-20-2008 09:54 AM

The only one I saw with curves had the curve from Drunkard's path being in the first position. Since the other pieces wrapped around it, I think it could work. Paper piecing lovers, step up, please!

Skeat 10-21-2008 05:08 AM

Okay, I'm a paper piecing queen! I'm stepping up...and, for what??:0)The drunkard's path w/the curve isn't really a curve. If you notice on the pattern what is looking like the curve is actually #1 and then the other pieces go after it. When done, it will look as if you did sew that curve-smart!:))Those are great patterns Moonpi...thanks for sharing this site-Skeat

We can do a lesson for all to follow w/pics if you want..it is very easy to do
