I had surgery Monday to get my tubes tied and on my discharge papers is stated no operation of any machinery. Guess what the very first piece of machinery they listed was....

A sewing machine!!!! Not a car, or anything else first, but a sewing machine! I thought that was funny!

Hospital staff must have noticed all those 'threads' hanging on you! Take care.

that's funny, I bet the nurse had a chuckle putting that on your papers.

And maybe they used those threads to tie the tubes! LOL. I'd check the bill to see what they charged you to use your own thread.

Take care and follow doctor's orders. Hope you get to feeling great fast sew you can get back to handling machinery.

LOL I noticed that too on my discharge papers last fall after having abdominal surgery. I thought it was because the nurses and I were chatting about quilting while doing my pre-op, didn't think about it being a standard order :D:D:D
