I only had one store bought crib sheet I got as a baby shower gift. My great aunt made all of mine for me. She was the type that saw something she liked, and went home and made it. She never did quilts, but everything else she did. She did upholstery, braided rugs, and wreath making. She has long since passed on and I to this day have some of the sheets, a chair she redid for me, and several braided rugs. Plus I make my own Christmas wreaths yearly.
