Today I received an e mail from McCall's with an offer to sign up for and pay for tutorials from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I don't know how much, but if you sign up now, it is 40% off. I love Missouri Star tutorials on U Tube. I won't be paying, but found this interesting.

With all of the free tutorials out there, there is no way I'm paying for one, even at 40% off. Good grief!

You've gotta be kidding! There is no way. Pay for tutes that encourage us to buy the products they sell???? You'd have to be out of your mind!

WOW! I totally agree! Why in the world would we pay for tutorials when there are tons and tons of them online?? JMHO but don't think this will be a profitable adventure??!

I won't be paying for tuts you can be sure of that.

I wonder how the tutorials will differ from the free ones on Youtube...I wonder if this is a new venture or something the company has offered all along?

Be sure to read the syllabus for paid tutorials. There might be more included than what we find on YouTube. For example, a paid tutorial might include interactive opportunities-- i.e., you quilt along at the same time, submit a photo of your progress and get feedback (online) from the instructor.

Aren't these more of a class than a tute? :D:D:D

I am kind of interested in it. I don't have internet at home right now, so if I got the class, I would need to be able to transfer it to my home computer and take it at a later date./ I haven't been able to take a class due to cost in my area...so I don't know, half price might be worth it to me.

This was my understanding also .... a real class as opposed to just a tutorial on a specific technique.
